FAQ - Update Terms & Conditions

With the launch of our new pricing model we have also taken the opportunity to update our General Terms & Conditions. The majority of the changes are designed to make our existing Terms & Conditions in line with the new pricing policy, to improve our services and to make the Terms clearer and better readable.

The new Terms & Conditions are effective for first users starting on March 1st, 2017. Existing users will be asked to accept the updated Terms while logging into the SnappCar platform.

Below you will find some Frequently Asked Questions you may have regarding the changes in the Terms & Conditions.

Where can I find the new General Terms & Conditions?

The new General Terms & Conditions will be shown the next time you will login to our platform. You will be able to read and download the new Terms and accept them. On March 1st you can find the renewed Terms & Conditions here.

What has changed compared to the previous Terms & Conditions?  

In general we have changed the Terms & Conditions to make them clearer and easier to understand. Minor textual and editorial amendments were made, where necessary, to improve readability.  

Key changes include adjustments in the definitions of Rental Price, Rental Fee, Mileage Fee as a result of the changes in the SnappCar Pricing Model. To protect Users and to improve the reliability of Vehicles on our platform, we for example inserted stricter rules and regulations of vehicle maintenance and acceptance on the platform. We added clarification and small adjustments which were designed to align with our digital SnappForm and SnappCar registration procedure which was implemented last year.

The articles that significantly changed or added into the new Terms & Conditions  of March 1st 2017 are: Article 5.3, Article 5.9, Article 7.1 sub b, Article 8.4 & 8.6 sub c &  Article 8.10, Article 9.5,  Article 11.6 sub c, Article 11.9 and Article 15.3.

How do I agree to the new Terms & Conditions?

From Marcht 1st onwards the next time you login to the platform you will automatically be directed to the page with the new Terms & Conditions. Please go through the terms, read them carefully and accept them. After that you will be able to use our platform again as before. Please note: to continue renting (out) through SnappCar you have to accept these amended Terms.
