What to do if a damage occurs?

Damaged car? We’re here to help! In case of a damage make sure to document it correctly. If the renter didn't already do so, make some clear photos of the damaged part and make sure you note this during check-out. When you check-out a booking you are able to note all the new damages and a report of this will be send to our Community Support Team and our insurer. We will contact you for further actions after receiving the documents. 

In case of an accident with another car/party it's necessary that the renter fills out the European Damage Form. You’re able to download the form via our website but usually you already have one in our car anyway, but always make sure you download one just in case.

Additional actions: Closing the booking

Normally, you’d be in charge of checking the fuel level and mileage at the end of a booking. This is a different story in case of malfunction. It’s important to stay in touch with the renter on this matter so that you can work something out for the fuel gage and mileage. 

Payment of damage amount

As soon as we've received the invoice from the garage we will pay you the amount so you can take care of the bill. If the damage has been handled directly via our insurer they will take care of the damage amount. Afterwards we will, if applicable, deduct the deductible at the renter.
