Car owners - Receiving a rental request

When a renter wants to rent your car they will send a rental request. You’ll receive an email and a text message when this happens. These will contain more information about the rental period and your earnings.

You can accept or decline the request, if you want some more information you can also send a direct message at any time via My SnappCar > Messages. In case you want to accept the rental request, you click the button for acceptance. After this, the renter will find an email with a payment link in its inbox to seal the deal.

Please note: if the requested times of the booking are not correct, make sure you notify the renter before he/she pays. The renter can send you a new request with the correct bookings times.

A booking is definite as soon as the renter pays and the car will not be visible on the website for the date(s) it’s rented out. Also, note that the times booking cannot be adjusted afterwards.

Automatic rental requests
Our system will automatically check for similar cars on the requested days in case the renter has trouble finding a car. When your car is selected by our system you’ll receive a message containing an automatic rental request. Owners can then accept this, which leads to the alternative being offered to the renter. Keep in mind that the renter can still cancel this request. This might occur when the recommended car isn’t exactly what the renter was looking for.

You can always switch this option off in your profile via My SnappCar > My Account > choose No at Automatic Requests > Save!
