Cancellation costs and general penalty policy.

To take part in SnappCar, you give your consent to the General Terms and Conditions. Included are the above fines, which are intended to minimise inconvenience for both the owner and the renter.

Cancel a paid booking

If you want to cancel a paid booking then there are costs involved. In case of a cancellation with more than 24 hours before the start of the booking, you will pay € 10 cancellation costs and the booking amount will automatically be refunded. If you cancel less than 24 hours before the start of the booking, the booking amount will not be refunded. This will be paid out to the car owner.

Canceling a booking is possible online via My Trips > Bookings > click on the relevant booking > choose Cancel.

Process extension*

€10 administration costs + costs of the extra rental

* processing of all additional costs for an extension that has not been paid or has not been paid on time but has taken place.

If you are of the opinion that the cancellation costs are not in place, do not cancel the booking but contact SnappCar's Community team directly via support@snappcar.nl stating the booking number. We will then consider removing the fine and canceling the booking for you. If you cancel the booking and only contact us afterwards, we can’t do anything for you.

**Processing traffic fines

A traffic fine will first be offered by the car owner and he/she will ask you to transfer the amount to their bank account so they can pay the fine. If the car owner does not receive the money or cannot properly reach you we will take care of the traffic fine and the above mentioned costs apply.

How are these costs charged?

The above mentioned fines and fees will be deducted from your bank account automatically, you’ve given us permission to do so when you accepted our general Terms & Conditions. In case of extensions, traffic fines, deductible and/or cleaning costs you will receive an invoice with an overview of the costs.
