Information about the price changes from November 1st, 2022

As you might have heard, there will be a price increase on the SnappCar fee. Here is everything you need to know about it. 


What will the new prices be?

The SnappCar fee will be 13.5 % of the daily price of the car, compared to 12.5 % before. This applies to both renters and owners on the platform. (Please note that the price increase only affects the users in The Netherlands). 


When will the price adjustment take effect?

The price adjustment will take effect on November 1st, 2022.


Will the insurance rate also change?

The price for the insurance will stay the same. However, the fee for Roadside Assistance will increase from € 1 to € 1,50 per day for national coverage and from €6,- to €6,50 per day for abroad coverage.


I have a confirmed booking already, what will happen with the price?

The costs of already planned trips remain the same, they will keep the old rate. However, keep in mind that if you cancel the booking to change the times of the pick up/drop off, the new booking will have the new rates if you send the request after the 31st of October 2022. 


Why has SnappCar adjusted the rates?

We will increase our prices because the costs of running our platform have significantly increased. Our roadside assistance provider and technology partners have already increased prices, and most of our other costs are also increasing. We have tried to minimise the impact for our users as much as possible, and to fairly distribute the price increase across renters and owners. With the updated prices SnappCar can keep on investing in the quality of our platform, with new App features, better customer service, and improved keyless technology.
