Why You Shouldn’t Cancel

Cancelling a confirmed booking can seriously impact a renter’s plans and confidence in the platform. Frequent or last-minute cancellations may:

  • Cause stress and inconvenience to renters

  • Lower your visibility in search results

  • Result in fewer future bookings

Being reliable builds trust and success as a SnappCar owner. On our side, we make sure the platform stays safe and trustworthy with a solid verification process - including biometric checks, insolvency screening, and damage history reviews.

Exception to the Cancellation Fee

Cancellations are only allowed in exceptional cases, such as:

  • Car is returned damaged and unsafe to rent out

  • Car is not returned by previous renter

  • Sudden technical malfunction or breakdown

To request an exception:

  1. Contact Support via the app

  2. Explain the reason and provide evidence (e.g. photos, receipts)

  3. Support will cancel the booking in your account

  4. If approved, the cancellation fee will be refunded

Why Was My Car Taken Offline?

If you cancel several bookings in a row without successful rentals in between, your car may be taken offline to ensure a reliable renter experience.

Important Tips

Always keep your calendar up to date - both short-term and long-term - to avoid unnecessary cancellations.
