Traffic fine uploaded, what's the status?

You've uploaded a traffic fine and aren't sure whether it has been processed yet. We're happy to help you find out. Please follow these steps:

1. Have you received a confirmation email?

Within one hour of uploading the fine, you should receive a confirmation at the email address you provided. If you didn't receive it, check your spam folder first. The email is sent from snappcar.noreply@snappcar.nl. If you truly didn't receive it, the upload was unsuccessful and you can upload the fine again here.

2. Has it been 7 business days since you uploaded the fine?

SnappCar needs 7 business days to process the fine, after which you'll receive a confirmation. If it has been more than 7 business days and you haven't received a confirmation, move on to the next step.

3. Check the status of the fine with the issuing authority

For almost all traffic fines, you can check online whether it has already been paid. There may be a delay. If it has been 7 business days since the upload and the fine still shows as open online, move on to the next step.

4. Is the fine being transferred?

It can take up to 20 weeks for a fine to be transferred. If you have received a confirmation from SnappCar, the objection has been filed and we have taken over responsibility.

If the status of the fine is still unclear, move on to the next step.

5. Contact SnappCar Support

You can chat with our support team via the button in the bottom right of the SnappCar Help Center. Make sure you have the fine details (including the reference ID) ready.
