What am I insured for?

Comprehensive insurance covers damage caused by sudden, external causes. Examples include:

  • Scratches and dents

  • Window damage

  • Theft and embezzlement

In addition, third-party liability insurance is included for both the renter and additional drivers. The car is insured up to its insured value, with a maximum of €90,000.

Also included:

  • Roadside assistance

  • Towing of the car (if covered by third-party liability insurance)

What is not covered?

  • Technical damage due to age or wear and tear → Repair costs are for the owner → Is the car no longer drivable as a result? Then we will arrange for it to be towed away, but we will not reimburse any repair costs.

  • Costs outside the booking → Think of hotel stays, missed appointments, or flights.

Are additional drivers insured?

Yes, provided they:

  • Have been formally added to the booking and confirmed by SnappCar

  • Have a verified profile and meet all conditions (such as minimum age)

  • Have been registered by the renter after payment of the booking

⚠️ Important: As the renter, you remain responsible for the car. You pick up and return the car, an additional driver is not allowed to do this.
