The price you pay for a SnappCar consists of several components. Below, we explain this clearly for you:

Daily price

  • Determined by the owner

  • May vary per car, even for the same type

Dynamic pricing

  • Some owners use dynamic pricing

  • The daily price automatically adjusts based on demand, availability, and season

  • This way, you pay a fair price that matches the time of booking

Insurance

  • Insurance premium per rental day

  • Depends on your risk profile and that of the car

  • Between €5.50 and €21 per day

SnappCar fee

  • Fee for using our platform

  • Includes support and service

  • 13.5% of the daily rate for cars

  • 16% of the daily rate for vans

Roadside assistance

  • Mandatory during your rental period

  • Costs depend on the vehicle and the location of your trip

    • Van: $3.50 per day (NL) | $8 per day (EU)

    • Other vehicles: $2 per day (NL) | $6.50 per day (EU)

Price per kilometer (optional)

  • Each car has a number of free kilometers

  • Driving more? Then you pay per extra kilometer

  • Rate is determined in advance by the rental company

  • Staying below the number of free kilometers? Then you pay nothing extra

Half days

  • Renting for less than 5 hours? → Then you pay 50% of the total price and 50% of the free kilometers

Long term Discount

If the rental period is longer than 3 days, you’ll receive a 15% discount on the daily rate. This discount is optional and set by the car owner. If no discount appears during booking, the owner has not enabled it.
