Who’s responsible for your data?
SnappCar is a brand of Carshare Ventures B.V., located at Jaarbeursplein 6 in Utrecht. We’re responsible for processing your personal data.
What data do we use?
To make SnappCar work properly, we need some information from you. For example, when you want to rent or share a car. This includes your name, address, phone number, a copy of your driver’s license, payment details and car information. We only use this data when it’s needed to help you.
Why do we use your data?
We use your data to give you a safe and smooth experience. That means creating your account, handling bookings, sending messages and setting up rental agreements. We also run checks, like verifying your identity and checking your driver’s license. That’s required for insurance.
When do we share your data?
Sometimes we share your data with others, but only when necessary. For example, with the renter or owner of a car so you can get in touch. We also work with partners for payments, identity checks, customer service and insurance. We never share more than needed.
How do we protect your data?
We do everything we can to keep your data safe. Our systems are well protected and we regularly check if everything is still secure. That way, your data stays in the right hands.
How long do we keep your data?
We keep your basic data as long as you have an account. If you delete your account, we’ll make sure your data is removed too. You can read more about this in our privacy policy.
