SnappCar insurance is valid during the rental period booked via the platform, provided that check-in has been completed via the digital procedure. The insurance provides comprehensive coverage, which means that you are fully insured against:
Damage caused by external factors (such as scratches, dents, and window damage)
Theft and embezzlement
Vandalism
Third-party liability for the renter and additional drivers
Roadside assistance and towing of the car (provided third-party liability insurance is in place)
The car is insured up to its insured value, with a maximum of β¬90,000.
Do I have to pay for insurance?
Yes. You pay an insurance contribution with every booking. This amount varies and is calculated based on the risk profile of the car and the renter. Factors such as the value of the car and the age of the renter play a role in this.

Damage during your trip?
Did you accidentally cause damage? Report it immediately during checkout in the SnappCar app. Only damage reported within 48 hours can be processed.
Here's how it works:
Open the app as soon as you return to the owner or parking spot.
Start the check-out process.
Indicate that there is damage.
Add clear photos.
The report will be automatically forwarded to Allianz, which will handle the damage claim.
