How does check-in work with a personal key handover?
With a personal key handover, you check in together with the tenant. This ensures a good start and direct communication.
Conditions before you can check in
The booking must be paid for before the start time, otherwise the request will automatically expire.
Check-in is possible from 30 minutes before the start time. Would you like to start earlier? Ask the tenant to adjust the booking.
The tenant needs a phone with the SnappCar app, sufficient battery power, and an internet connection.
What you do together at check-in
Take pictures of the car. Follow the instructions in the app. Do you see any damage that has not yet been registered? Add it immediately.
Enter the mileage Enter the current mileage or confirm what has already been entered.
Select the fuel level Enter the correct percentage.
Check driver's license Compare the renter's driver's license with the SnappCar account.
Hand over the keys Give the keys and answer any questions. Exchange contact details for emergencies.
After completing the check-in, the renter will automatically receive a confirmation by email. The car is insured from that moment on.
How does check-out work for personal transfers?
The renter returns the car and you complete the booking together via the app. This ensures that everything is recorded correctly.
What do you do together at check-out?
Open the app and click on ‘Check-out’.
Enter the mileage: The renter enters the new mileage.
Check the fuel level: Compare it with the starting value and confirm in the app.
Check for damage: Is everything still in good condition? If not, add any new damage. This will be forwarded directly to Allianz.
Complete the booking: Click on ‘Complete’ in the app.
Take back the keys: You receive the keys, and the renter confirms this.
Write a review: The renter writes a short review, and the booking is complete.
