Check-in with a Keyless car
Renters of your Keyless car check in completely independently. No physical handover is required: fast, secure, and remote.
Important conditions for check-in
The booking must be paid for before the start time. If this is not the case, the request will automatically expire.
Check-in is possible from 30 minutes before the start time. Earlier check-in is only possible if the renter adjusts the booking themselves.
The renter needs a phone with the SnappCar app, sufficient battery power, and an active internet connection.
What does the renter do during check-in?
The renter opens the app and selects ‘Check in’.
Photos are taken of all sides of the car, and any damage can be reported immediately.
The car is opened via the app. The key is in the glove compartment.
The renter starts the car and takes a photo of the mileage and fuel level.
Ready to go! All data is automatically saved in your profile.
How does checkout work for a Keyless booking?
With Keyless rentals, the renter handles checkout completely independently via the SnappCar app. You don't have to do anything.
What should the renter do when returning the car?
Return the car to the same location where it was picked up (unless otherwise agreed). Incorrect parking can result in fines.
Refill the tank to the original level.
Turn off the engine, close the windows, and check the lights.
Return the key to the glove compartment (and key fob holder, if present).
Take your personal belongings with you and lock the car via the SnappCar app.
Take photos of all sides of the car and report any new damage via the app.
🔔 Please note: If the renter does not lock the car via the app, the car will remain unlocked. The renter is then responsible for any consequences.
If something goes wrong, the renter can call you directly via the SnappCar app.
